How to get to the monastery of Cantauque
By Road
– from Carcassonne (30 km)
(Exit west of the motorway,) direction Limoux, 1 km after Rouffiac d’Aude (big roundabout) take the direction of Pomas, 2 km after Pomas take on the right the direction of St Hilaire then Villebazy, continue until the signs “Monastère orthodoxe” “Cantauque”.
– from Limoux (15 km)
Direction Saint Polycarpe then Buc; in Buc take the D54 to the left until the signs “Monastère orthodoxe” “Cantauque”.
By train or plane
The monastery is 30 km from Carcassonne train station or Salvaza airport. The community will not be able to pick you up there. You will have to take a taxi (about 60€) or hitchhike.
Alternatively, every Thursday we go down to Carcassonne and can, if agreed with the father of the hotel, stop at the station around 5pm.
